Giedre Domzaite

I was born in Vilnius, Lithuania where I studied design and graduated from Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts in 2004.

I have lived in London since then and love the creative energy of the city, finding it a fascinating place for people watching. It's enormous diversity of expression is a constant inspiration for my character work: old folk snoozing on busses, city workers in pinstripes, wild eyed revellers in fancy outfits; the city is full of eccentrics and hopefully you can recognise them in my illustrations.

I’m currently a full time illustrator with 'mainframe' www.mainframe.co.uk, a creative production company specialising in motiongraphics and animation for advertising, promos and branded creative content. Working at 'Mainframe' gives me an opportunity not just to create diverse illustrations but also animate them, art direct 3D projects and get involved in production.

My illustration work is also represented by the illustration agency 'Nuagency' www.nuagency.se in Stockholm, Sweden.

I approach every project as a unique and special endeavour, trying to develop a different feeling and style for each. This way I can also learn something new every time I work on a new brief.
